Teacher Testimonial 2

“I just wanted you to know that the samples that y'all collected in the rain yesterday were amazing. I've done this a few times, and the kids have always enjoyed doing it, but the variety and quantity of organisms that you guys collected this year was astounding. I would go out on a limb and say that the exploration of the organisms was the most engaging, exciting science lesson I've seen. The kids really got into it.

So thanks for the good work that you facilitate, and I look forward to doing more work with you in the future (hopefully in better weather conditions).”

Tiny Neighbors Field Investigation

In partnership with Seattle Public Schools, Tiny Neighbors is a field investigation that extends the learning in the 5th grade Microworlds Science Unit by supporting teachers and students in designing and completing their own scientific investigations of local ponds or lakes. Students make connections from their classroom learning to the real world by exploring an ecosystem within their community.
