Explore Thornton Creek this Saturday Thornton Creek Long Walk, THIS Saturday, September 22, 8:30 am-2 pm: Discover natural and cultural surprises around every bend as you follow the route of Thornton Creek's South Fork from Northgate to Matthews Beach Park. See a giant boulder dropped by a glacier and large woody debris dropped by restoration teams to recreate salmon habitat. Meet our new Outreach Coordinator New staff member: Outreach Coordinator Jennifer Youngman looks forward to keeping you informed about Homewaters programs and all the ways you might enjoy being involved. Her experience includes marketing and outreach, environmental education and native rare plant conservation. Jennifer has served as a ranger at Mt. Rainier and two other national parks, and she's a published writer, photographer and puzzlemaker. She's excited about combining aspects from all of these in her work with Homewaters. |
