We're Hiring! Homewaters Project is hiring for our Outreach and Mapping Coordinator. We encourage well-rounded individuals to apply for this position, responsible for all media communications, community education programs, and our community mapping programs. Education Program Associate: Homewaters would like to welcome Peggy Foreman as our first ever Education Program Associate! Peggy comes to us with a wealth of experience as a Shoreline teacher at Einstein Middle School. She'll take the lead on the Land and Water field trips and assist with many program-related activities. Land and Water: Homewaters Project is seeking volunteers to teach outdoor field investigations on watershed ecology in Thornton Creek to 4th/5th grade students in the Meadowbrook neighborhood of North Seattle. Volunteers will have 2 training sessions in March 2007, develop skills in teaching, learn about natural processes and local communities and teach 2-3 programs from March - June 2007. Garden Education and Maintenance (GEM) Team: During this academic year, Homewaters will train a small group to assist schools that have previously participated in our Watershed Gardens program to help ensure the native plant gardens continue to successfully thrive for students and wildlife. Volunteers will help teachers and students with garden maintenance. If you are available mid-week and this interests you, contact Linda Versage (206.529.6045).
