View our Tiny Neighbors slideshow online Students take a close look at microorganisms: In October, fifth graders walked from their school to collect water samples, sketch the Meet our new Education Specialist Welcome aboard, Kate! Education Specialist Kate Bedient joined the Homewaters staff in September just after we sent the last Meanderings. Already she has conducted Tiny Neighbors programs at Union Bay, Green Lake and Matthews Beach, and helped Shorewood High School students survey vegetation in Shoreview Park.
