Join Homewaters for a free book reading with David R. Montgomery Thursday, January 24, 7-9 pm

Are we skinning the earth? In a book packed with compelling stories and facts, Dave Montgomery traces how our treatment of soil determines the life span of civilizations. Dirt: The Erosion of Civilizations goes on to address what we can do to take care of this resource. A geomorphologist and UW professor, Dave testified at a State Senate hearing about logging and flooding last week. He has authored King of Fish: The Thousand-Year Run of Salmon and Restoration of Puget Sound Rivers. Invite your friends and join us in North Seattle Community College's North Star Room for a lively evening! Details...
