You can transform lives

Homewaters positively impacts the lives of thousands of young learners each year, people like Octavio Ramirez and Stephanie Lim Students in Homewaters programfrom Shorewood High School, who walk away from our programs with new connections to their home place and deeper understanding of difficult science concepts. You can help students like Octavio and Stephanie discover the special places in their home neighborhood. To change the lives of 30 young people by giving them opportunity to explore a nearby pond or lake this fall, invest $100 in the work of Homewaters Project. Join us Saturday, Sept. 27, 8:30 am to 3 pm. Hike 7 miles along the roLong Walkersute of Thornton Creek's South Fork. View creek restoration projects, native and invasive plants, and engineering feats by humans and wildlife, including the Northgate Water Quality Channel and two urban beaver dams. It's free, but advance registration is required...


Enjoy a new alternative to the Long Walk

Busy individuals and families with young children will enjoy this one! We're debuting a shorter Thornton Creek walk Saturday, October 11, from 9:30 to 11 am. Starting and ending at Northgate Park and Ride, we'll see a daylighting project, an urban beaver dam, and native and invasive plants. The walk is free. Learn more or sign up...
